The Biggest Lie Ever Told During the Holidays

During the month of December, my work place turns into Santa’s workshop. Except there are no toys being made, there is however many Christmas goodies such as cookies, cakes and all kinds of candy. Even the delivery personal are astounded at the many trays of snacks we have on a daily basis. Every day there is a different tray of homemade cookies; brought into the office the smell is enough to make you want to do a snatch and grab. You can either snatch the entire tray or grab as many cookies as you can before the other staff realizes they are gone.

As one tray is, being devoured, another tray is either coming in or being refilled all day, every day, eight hours a day; you can take seconds, thirds, even four servings if you like no one is looking, and no one cares. Eat at your own risk. The risk of looking like a greedy person, the risk of gaining many calories, it is a lot of risk; just looking at the tray is a risk.

During the week, I had to clear up the biggest lie ever told to me during this holiday season. While watching the staff, snatch, grab, all week I made the mistake of telling someone who was eating one to many snacks as if I was the food police. To be careful and check the calories oh boy; why did I say that, I admitted that it was like the pot calling the kettle black but the person did not let it end, they said let me set you straight. There are no calories in HOLIDAY FOOD.

What the heck, the entire conversation went south after that because I took on the task of setting this person straight. What and who told you that I said, the person went on to say it is the truth unbelievably. I ended the conversation by saying that is the biggest lie ever told; Holiday Food is not prejudice it will do the same thing to you that other food that is not healthy will. The person said; well save you do not eat it. That is when the light bulb came on that person is right; it is time for me to stop saving everyone else and start saving myself.
