Re: Water = Bloated, Puffy and Uncomfortable

I have a lot on my mind and what better place to let it all out then on this blank canvas right. My heart is ordering a good old fashion blog. Where should I begin? Hmmm..... two weeks ago; when I missed my first visit to the WW It felt like I was hiding because I may have slipped off the plan once or twice during that week. But then last week I didn't go either, “What is up with that right". After talking to my mother and explaining that I was not hiding out I had something very pressing to do.

She (my mother) shocked me by going to the WW by her self. She held her own and went without me. So for that she got a couple snaps and a clap AND A BIG HUG from me. The good news is she lost a pound I thought we were two food junkies together a crutch for each other but I was wrong and proud that she step out there on her own. And yes that is how it supposes to be if one addict doesn’t want help; keep moving.... Still support them anyway possible but until they are ready you have to keep moving because it will be easier for them to bring you down then it is if you’re weak to pull them up. Speaking from experience I guess not all situations are the same. Even though that was not the case for me, the reason why I could not make it is because some of my friends got lay off and I went through a friendship withdraw and the following week another friend had to pack up his stuff so I had to be there for too.

All the while my body is going through the motions of being bloated, puffy and full of water yeah I said it if feels like I am full of water. Like a tank that should be unplugged ASAP! Someone please explain to me why when other folks drink water they go to the bathroom and it runs its course. Not me I drink and drink and drink and I get bloated, puffy and uncomfortable. For that answer I had to turn to my mother to ask what is wrong with me  drinking 108 ounces of water and losing weight and as if I was a teenager she said no baby it don't work like that if your sodium intake is high you are going to retain that water which will cause the swelling in my ankles, knees and feet. OUCH!

That explains it to some degree but what about when I am having a sodium free day my feet fill like bricks and none of my shoes will fit . What then? Water = Bloated,Puffy and Uncomfortable.

This week I will be going to the WW, I  will keep you posted on the visit and if anyone has any suggestions for that water and keeping the bloating down I will try anything at this point.

It will be tough this week for my mother as well as myself and my other siblings because my baby brother will be 35 years old and this is the second year of his sudden death while in the hospital.

Wheww... I had a lot on my mind.  Till next time....

So sorry about your brother. That is hard. About the water, you could try adding a few drops of lemon juice to each glass of water. That's supposed to be a diuretic and make it flush out instead of retaining.

Hang in there :)

Thanks Lyn!

Lemon Juice to my water does not sound bad at all. Doable.
